RSLS Workshops
You’re Invited to Join!
All interested students, potential and current mentors, and accepted RSLS participants are welcome to attend our on-campus and virtual RSLS workshops. Whether you just want to know more about the Symposium, or you are already refining your project or presentation and would like guidance, there is a workshop for you.
Workshop Sequence: Selecting the Right Workshop
The workshops are designed in a sequence, starting with the fall and winter Discovery and Application workshops, continuing with the winter Project Development workshops, and culminating in the spring RSLS Big Picture and Presentation Strategies workshops. Each is designed to help you understand the event and the process for developing your project, and the stages of presentation development, ending with the final prep workshop during which you can practice your presentation with your peers and mentors. You are welcome to come to any or all of these workshops.
Register for On-Campus & Online Workshops through ZoomRegistration for each workshop will be available at the start of the quarter in the listing below! Click on live links in the workshop schedule, where you will be directed to the Zoom page to register for the event. You’ll receive reminders for the workshops a few days in advance. |
Workshops Are Optional
Want to attend the workshops, but your schedule doesn’t allow?
Don’t worry, you can still apply and present at the symposium. While we do expect that every participant will join the Presentation Prep Workshops in the spring if selected, meet regularly with mentors, or use the alternative Tutoring Hours in the LRC to get ready to present, we understand that some of you may be unable to join us.
Just reach out to RSLS Coordinators Allison Herman and Sam Fleischer at RSLS@fhda.edu for more information. We can answer your questions and help you get the information you need.
