    NKU earns inaugural SACSCOC Torch Award for affordability

    ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ has been recognized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) with a Torch Award for Affordability, an honor that recognizes institutions that demonstrate leadership in managing educational costs and expanding access for students.

    NKU earns 2026 community engagement classification from Carnegie Foundation

    ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ has received the 2026 Carnegie Community Engagement (CE) Classification, highlighting the university’s continued commitment to community engagement. NKU joins the 2026 cohort as one of more than 230 universities nationwide to receive the designation. This recognition marks NKU’s third CE Classification; the university received its first in 2006 under President James Votruba.

    NKU announces outstanding Norse graduates and faculty as 2026 alumni award winners

    ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ is recognizing five distinguished alumni and faculty with the annual Alumni Awards dinner and celebration on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026. The university is honoring Gary Holland, Greg Edwards, Shannan Boyer, Kevin Donnelly and Ken Jones for their outstanding achievements and distinguished service to the Northern Kentucky and Norse communities.

    NKU graduates 1,500+ students in fall commencement ceremonies

    ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ honored more than 1,500 graduates over two ceremonies during the university’s 54th commencement on Saturday, Dec. 13. Since 1968, NKU has graduated more than 86,000 students who are now living and working across the Commonwealth of Kentucky and all over the world.

    ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ President Cady Short-Thompson launched a new initiative designed to inspire support for the university and grow the philanthropic impact of the NKU community: the CST Circle.

    NKU ranked in Newsweek’s top 50 list of America’s Top Online Colleges 2026

    ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ has been ranked 47th on Newsweek’s list of America’s Top Online Colleges for 2026 out of 250 universities and colleges nationwide. This is the first time NKU has been recognized by Newsweek for its high value online programing, and it is the only university in Kentucky ranked in the top 50.

    NKU adds new MBA options in artificial intelligence and supply chain analytics

    ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ is partnering with Risepoint, an education technology company, to expand its online Master of Business Administration program with two new concentrations in artificial intelligence and supply chain analytics. These additional degree paths will prepare professionals to lead in industries that are rapidly changing with technology and data.
