The Life Sciences Lab is a place to explore living systems up close. From biology and chemistry to health sciences and bio-technology, the lab gives you access to tools, experiments, and hands-on learning that help you understand how life works.
Open to all ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ students, the Life Sciences Lab, along with six other Technology Labs and the ProtoLab, make up the Emerging Technologies Institute (ETI).

Inside the Life Sciences Lab, you can:
- Explore life-science technologies and study how modern science tools can help you investigate living systems.
- Test hardware and software related to life-sciences research, ranging from lab instruments to data-analysis tools.
- Conduct research and experiments — whether for class projects, independent study, or collaborative work with your peers.
- Participate in STEM workshops, training sessions, and informational events on emerging life-science technologies.
- Engage with curriculum-related courses and projects that benefit from lab resources and real-world scientific practice.
- Experience life-science exhibits and demos at both the Los Altos Hills campus and the Sunnyvale Center. Get hands-on or just observe science in action.
