About Me
Dolores Davison is Professor and Chair in the Departments of History and Women’s Studies
at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ. She received her Baccalaureate degree from the University of
California, Davis, in history, with minors in political science and Russian; her M.A.
in history from the University of Oregon; and she is ABD from the University of Illinois,
Chicago, with a focus on gender and history. She served as the President of the Academic
Senate for California Community Colleges (ASCCC) from 2020-2022 and continues to do
statewide work on behalf of faculty through the ASCCC, including currently serving
as the ASCCC’s Direct Assessment Competency Based Education (DACBE) Curriculum Director.
She was also the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Academic Senate President for 6.5 years, and is
currently serving as District Academic Senate President for the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ-De Anza CCD,
as the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ SLO Coordinator, and as a director on the California Community College
Baccalaureate Association board. Her hobbies include travel, rooting for her favorite
sports teams, and spending quality time with her besties.
